Abstracts

THE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION HAS BEEN CLOSED

 

The Scientific Committee invites authors to submit abstracts for consideration and inclusion in the program. Abstracts should be submitted in English. Please read the  instructions below carefully  for the preparation of abstracts.

Abstracts can only be submitted via the congress web site: www.wccs2010.com. The web site will also guide you through the process of submitting your abstract step by step.
Please be informed that abstracts submitted via e-mail, fax or post will not be accepted.

Submission Deadline
The deadline for receipt of abstracts is February 15th 2010..
Abstracts received after this date cannot be accepted. You should receive notification about your application by February 28th 2010. Successful authors are requested to register for the congress by March 15th in order to be included in the program.

Publication of abstracts
Successful oral and poster abstracts to be distributed to all delegates attending the congress.

Oral presentation
Successful authors will be informed of the length of time allotted for their presentation in the acceptance e-mail. They  will be informed of the date and time of the presentation at least one month before the congress starts.

Posters
Posters must be  displayed  and removed on the dates that will be communicated to the authors in the acceptance e-mail. The dimensions of the poster are 1.5m high and  0.9 m wide.

Instructions for abstract authors
The online abstracts submission process of the congress web site will take you step by step through the submission of your abstract. After submitting your abstract, you will receive  acknowledgement of the submission by e-mail. Please note that you will not be able to edit your abstract anymore once you have submitted it.

On line abstract submission
Before submitting your abstract, please select Arial as the preferred font. If Arial is not available, please select Times. The system will ask you to complete:

  1. Initials, name, address and e-mail address of the first (presenting) author to whom correspondence will be sent.
  2. Co-authors: please fill out the initials, surnames, institute name, city and country of the co-authors. 
  3. Abstract title: please use capitals only. The title (including spaces) should not exceed 200 characters and the body of the text should have a maximum of 300 words. Please do NOT type a full stop (.) at the end of the title.
  4. Presentation preference: select poster, oral or no preference. 
  5. Text of the abstract: please adopt the following structured format:
    - Aim of the Investigation
    - Materials, Subjects  and Methods
    - Results, which should be given in an abbreviated form, if necessary
    - Conclusions
  6. Do not use HTML codes and ‘end of lines’ as the text will wrap automatically
